This website uses Complianz's Privacy Suite for WordPress to collect and record consent based on browser and device. For this functionality, your IP address is anonymised and stored in our database. This site uses Google Analytics to track site traffic. The data collected is processed in such a way that visitors cannot be identified.
Smush
Note: Smush does not interact with end users on your website. The only Smush opt-in is to a newsletter subscription for site administrators only. If you wish to notify your users of this in your privacy policy, you can use the information below.
Smush sends images to WPMU DEV's servers in order to optimise them for web use. This includes the transfer of EXIF data. EXIF data will either be deleted or returned as is. It is not stored on WPMU DEV's servers.
Smush uses the Stackpath content delivery network (CDN). Stackpath may store web log information of site visitors, including IP addresses, UA, referrer, location and ISP information of site visitors for up to 7 days. Your comments
When you leave a comment on our site, the data entered in the comment form, as well as your IP address and your browser's user agent, are collected to help us detect undesirable comments.
An anonymised string created from your e-mail address (also known as a hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. The Gravatar service's confidentiality clauses are available here : https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been validated, your profile photo will be publicly visible next to your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the site, we advise you to avoid uploading images containing EXIF data of GPS coordinates. People visiting your site may download and extract location data from these images.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you will be asked to save your name, e-mail address and site in cookies. This is purely for your convenience so that you do not have to enter this information if you leave another comment later. These cookies expire after one year.
If you go to the login page, a temporary cookie will be created to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal data and will be deleted automatically when you close your browser.
When you log on, we will set a number of cookies to record your login information and screen preferences. The lifetime of a connection cookie is two days, that of a screen option cookie is one year.
